Background:

  • Born February 13, 1953, Honolulu, Hawaii--the son of a Marine Corps 1st. Sergeant and Federal Secretary
  • Graduated top 4% of class at Coronado High School, Scottsdale, Arizona—nomination to United States Naval Academy
  • Attended ASU on a gymnastics scholarship while majoring in mathematics until his conversion to Christ in 1972 under the ministries of Billy Graham and Dr. Bill Bright
  • Original church plant: Foundation Fellowship, 1976-1987
  • Former professional gymnastics instructor for 6 years
  • Former Director of Marketing and Senior Corporate Accounts Manager for Corporate Business Systems Inc.—then Arizona’s largest privately held computer network/maintenance company
  • Former Associate Pastor of the 5,000 member Word of Grace in Mesa, Arizona, where he functioned as member of Senior Leadership Council and primary preaching partner to Dr. Gary Kinnaman
  • Ron worked with Word of Grace for 4 years (1994-1998) prior to planting Lord of Life in the summer of 1998 to the fall of 2005
  • Former Founder of the Network of Small Group Directors of Arizona
  • Former International television host for the Charles E. Fuller Institute's Church Satellite Network (CSN) and local host for the Trinity Broadcasting Network

Education:

  • B.A. in Religious Studies from Ottawa University. Major emphasis was in mathematics, music, theology and New Testament Greek—from Grand Canyon University (Summa Cum Laude GPA)
  • M.A. in Religious Studies from Arizona State University
  • Doctorate in Religious Studies (D.R.S.) from Golden State School of Theology with most major course work completed at Trinity Seminary. Ron also attended doctoral courses on Organizational Leadership at Regent University and the University of Phoenix

Marital Status & Residence:

  • Ron and his wife Patricia reside in Gilbert Arizona are the parents of four daughters: Stephanie, Allison, Elizabeth, and Vanessa.
