Ministry Options…

1. PUBLIC SPEAKING

The large crowd listened to him [Jesus] with delight” (Mark 12:37)

Don’t worry about crowds, just catch on fire—

and people will come to watch you burn!

(John Wesley)

Text Box: "Ron's optimism, leadership abilities and effective public communication skills were very valuable assets to our church staff during his four year tenure among us."
Dr. Gary Kinnaman, Former Senior Pastor, Word of Grace

One of the main strengths of Ron’s ministry is his effectiveness in preaching and teaching (proclaiming and explaining) the Word of God. Ron’s unique blend of biblical scholarship, academic research, disarming humor, and gracious delivery has garnered him a broad appreciation among diverse audiences of all sizes. D.L. Moody once observed that the Bible was not given to simply inform man, but to transform him. Ron is one of those who have indeed been graced by God to minister the Word with a remarkable transformational result. Church services, small groups, special events, seminars, retreats, conferences, and Bible Colleges are key venues for this ministry option to take place.

2. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Wisdom is with those who receive the guidance of the godly.” (Pr. 12:10)

And He has given some to be apostles [master builders] and others to be  prophets [spiritual discerners]; some to be evangelists [Gospel preachers] and others to be pastors [caregivers] and teachers [moral and doctrinal instructors] in order to equip God’s people for their work--in helping to build up the Body of Christ to a position of strength and spiritual maturity.”
(Eph. 4:11-12)

“Without encouraging accountability,

purposes are buried under good intentions.”

(Bill Gothard)

       …including mentoring and coaching

Regardless of one’s definition of leadership (of which there are some 350), all Christian traditions agree that leadership must be intentionally discerned, developed, and deployed if the church is to be adequately serviced in its quest for spiritual health and fruitful ministry. RWM is committed to help train, mentor, and coach existing and emerging leaders on every level of church life including, pastors, staff, board and volunteer workers. This is generally done through a personal relationship, special meetings, web-based training, seasonal events, small groups, seminars, retreats, and conferences. RWM also offers a yearlong online School of Leadership Development (SLD) whose curriculum is designed to equip those called to leadership with an overview for effective ministry. Note: Prior to full-time ministry, Ron was a professional gymnastics coach for 6 years.

Text Box: "Ron's 25 years of valued friendship and revelatory teaching on the nature of biblical leadership and counseling has had an enduring effect on my own personal relationships and professional practice."
Alfred Ells M.C., President, Leaders the Last

A Word to Christian Business leaders

Equipping for Christian leadership includes both church ministers and “marketplace” professionals. After all, the same biblical principles of interpersonal and organizational effectiveness (success) are equally applicable in natural as well as spiritual settings. In fact, the Bible asserts that if one cannot exhibit a workable faith among those who are lost in the world, then neither is that person qualified to hold a leadership position among the saved within the church (1 Tim. 3:7-12). Additionally, since finances are always involved in kingdom ministry, God is intentionally looking for those to whom he can entrust with worldly wealth to generously channel such resources for kingdom mission. If this is your calling and destiny—seize it with as much confidence and passion as any ministry within the church.

3. ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING

“By wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is established, and by knowledge its rooms are filled…”
(Pr. 24:3-4)

“When you’re up to your eyeballs in alligators, It’s hard to remember that your original objective—was to drain the swamp.” (Larry Wilde)

“Proper prior prayerful planning prevents pitifully poor performance”

(Adapted from a British Army adage)

Text Box: "Ron's friendship, Christ-like character, enthusiastic vision, and constant encouragement have been a sourced of authentic biblical fellowship and dialogue since 1995."
Dr. Andrew Jackson, Reformed scholar and missiologist

For RWM, strategic consulting involves developing a plan that is comprehensive, relational, integrated, dynamic, and flexible. Additionally, all Christian organizations must be developed with a passion for authentic spirituality lest institutional idolatry threaten their corporate life together. In pursuit of these objectives RWM utilizes a combination of approaches and resources such as, the Ten Steps in the Strategic Ministry Planning Process, How to Construct a Compelling Vision Statement, the Eight Phases of Effective Leadership, the Scope and Sequence of Disciple-making, etc. In addition to general strategic planning, RWM also helps provide specific assistance in the areas of major ministry transitions (resignation, retirement, death, culture changes, interim pastoral needs, etc.), merger considerations, mediation-arbitration (both binding and non-binding), clergy counseling, and the restoration of fallen leaders.

From the PublishersHow can a Christian make a difference in the world today? In For Such a Time as This (The Destiny Series: Volume One), Dr. Ron Woodworth tackles a myriad of current issues that divide or confuse many sincere believers. With so many competing voices of authority, false philosophies and cults, and rampant theological and historical liberalism, it is hard to sort out fact from fiction, truth from error, and grace from legalism. Discerning the will of God and fulfilling your destiny requires a concentrated effort. Join the author on a remarkable journey of discovery into the mind and ways of God—a discovery that will help you, like King Solomon, develop a discerning heart, a godly perspective, and a passion to make a difference.”

A Word about Ministry and Finances…

In an attempt to both model the ministry of Jesus Christ (“freely we receive and freely we give,” Matt. 10:8) and to counteract the greed of so many in ministry today (“who suppose that godliness is a means of financial gain,” 1 Tim. 5:8), RWM charges no set fee for any services rendered. Rather, all ministry provided and monies received are on a mutually voluntary basis only—guided by the biblical principles of love, grace, and trust in the Lord. Our prayer is that dignity be restored to the Body of Christ in this regard so that the reputation of the Lord Jesus may be honored among all—believers and unbelievers alike.
