1) I included Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, and contemporary Christian parenting ideas in this list.

2) Some parents prefer to replace the term dating (at 16 years) with courtship (around 18 years). I did too. But in retrospect, I did not find that approach helpful with raising our four daughters. Rather, what we discovered was that too much idealism in parenting can breed unnecessary stress for the family. SelahJ
